Music Composition

Jerónimo Rajchenberg

I am interested in all kinds of music, in sounds from all cultures and from all times. I have a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the California Institute of the Arts, also called CalArts.

I am a composer and a multi-instrumentalist, I mainly play traditional string instruments but I also love the electric guitar, the quena, calimbas and many others.

I write my music in the format of games so that the score can incorporate the creativity and the artistic voice of whoever is reading it, also this way we never really know how it is going to sound like…. we know only probabilities, quantum thinking instead of newtonian. For more about this keep exploring this website, welcome!

Maman Kobi

I composed this music when my friend Saba´s grnadmother passed, it is an hommage to her. Musically it is a piece in 5/8 and 7/8 and has wild rhythmic changes in the middle section, but if you keep clapping in 5/8, you´ll see that everything is in the cycle.

Buen Viaje Manu

I composed this piece when my friend Manuel Baremboim moved out of the city. It is my first electro-cumbia project.
